AntOS Library — ftp (reference)

The ftp library's design and native core — the built-in FTP server. The script-facing API is luau_ftp.

What it is

Server control (start/stop/status/log) for the FTP service that ships built into AntOS. The client side is an ordinary AntOS script; this library is the server, named ftp so require("ftp") controls it (the client script lives separately).

Design notes

  • Serves the VFS — an FTP client browsing the Ant64 sees the drive-letter volumes (D:, B:, …), so DBFS files and cartridge contents are reachable over the network like any FTP host.
  • A buffered log (log(after_seq)) lets a script or the UI tail server activity incrementally rather than polling state.

Native core — libantos_ftp

sys_ftp runs the FTP protocol over the CM's network stack against the VFS; the binding is server control + log tailing. No Luau dependency.
