Luau Bindings — videotext

The require("vt") script API — a personal teletext / videotext station. Serves 40×25 teletext pages (stored in DBFS) to a client over TCP. Every function is [antos]. Design & native core: antos_videotext.

local vt = require("vt")
vt.dbInit(); vt.seed_defaults()
vt.start()                 -- server up on port 6464
print(vt.status().pages, "pages,", vt.status().client)

Server

Function Behaviour
vt.start() · vt.stop() Start / stop the server (TCP vt.PORT).
vt.status() { running, client, port, pages }.
vt.invalidate(page) · vt.invalidateAll() Drop one / all pages from the server cache after editing.

Pages & storage

Function Behaviour
vt.dbInit() Ensure the vt_pages / vt_config tables exist in DBFS.
vt.seed_defaults() Populate the default starter pages.
vt.import(...) · vt.export(...) Bring pages in / take them out.

Constants

vt.PORT (6464) · vt.PAGE_BYTES (2000 = 40×25×2) · vt.COLS (40) · vt.ROWS (25).

Pages live in DBFS (so db/fs can manage them) and are served on the wire; a teletext client connects on 6464 to page through your station.
