AntOS Library — netimgui (reference)

The netimgui library's design and native core — mirror the AntOS UI to a PC over the network. The script-facing API is luau_netimgui.

What it is

Control for the optional remote-UI path: AntOS streams its Dear ImGui frame to a NetImgui Server app on a PC, which renders it and returns keyboard/mouse. It's additive — the local HDMI output and USB keyboard keep working — and off at boot, started on demand.

Design notes

  • Inverted client/server roles — the Ant64 holds the program, so it is the netImgui client; the PC holds the display, so it is the server. The API reflects that (you point the client at a PC server).
  • A development and convenience path — drive the machine's UI from a big screen while the Ant64 does its thing; the same terminal/application-mode content that renders locally is what streams.
  • Dual role. The same transport runs both directions. Outbound, the Ant64 is the client and a PC is the server (mirroring the UI to a big screen, above). Inbound, AntOS runs a local netImgui server on loopback so that on-box native compiled programs can be netImgui clients — their windows composite into the desktop like any other. See Native programs in the imgui design.

Native core — libantos_netimgui

sys_netimgui is the netImgui client transport (frame encode, input return, optional compression); the binding is start/stop/scan/connect/config. No Luau dependency.
